The beaches on Elba are numerous, each being quite unique; long beaches of golden sands or tiny stones, equally beautiful beaches of black sand, white pebbles or cliff bases of smooth granite rocks. Spectacular panorama and crystal clear water make these beaches simular to the caribbean, but second to none. Here some easy to reach in few minutes by car. ![]() Marina di Campo: (just where our camping is) it is the largest and most equipped one of the Island; the long sand beach is well-known for its numerous tourist structures and services. Thanks to its position close behind the village, it’s easy to get to and offers everything you need for your holiday. ![]() Cavoli: the beach consists of granulous sand, that doesn’t stick on the skin. It faces a wonderful creek and is surrounded by the mediterranean macchia. Cavoli is recommended to young people and to persons, who love getting brown spending a very good time on the beach. ![]() Fetovaia: fine golden sand, granite cliffs, crystal-clear water and a wild promontory (800 metres long) covered with mediterranean macchia. This is Fetovaia, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Island. It’s situated on the south-west side of Elba and is well-known for its beauty, so that it’s always crowded in summer. If you prefer to relax alone or with your family far from the madding crowd, you can go to the wide and smooth granite cliff near the beach and lie there. ![]() Biodola: one of the most fascinating bays of the Island of Elba, on your right, just a few minutes from Portoferraio, half-way from Procchio. 600 metres of fine sand next to the mediterranean macchia. The sand slopes softly down letting you walking in the water without danger. The beach is connected with Scaglieri (very similar) by a way among the reefs. Numerous bars and restaurants are at your disposal. ![]() Procchio: is today one of the most equipped sand beaches of Elba, but in ancient times it was an important centre, where iron and copper were worked. Among the numerous and interesting archaeological finds there are a furnace and a Roman ship laden with valuable amphoras, that are still in very good shape. You can get to the beach by car only from Campo all’Aia but it’s also possible taking the small road (on foot) that leads directly to the beach. ![]() Lacona: The long beach of Lacona is well-known for the wonderful sand-dunes and the many tourist services, which give you the opportunity to practise all water-sports you like. The beach faces the bay of Lacona, which is formed by two small verdant "peninsulas": Capo Stella and Capo Fonza. |
